Look carefully on the ledge that they call a road to find our Honda Civic clinging to the cliff as we crawled along for an hour and a half before finding the campground listed in our guidebook.
The single-lane suspension bridge right out of Indiana Jones was our last hurdle before arriving at an old mining town historical site. Camping was allowed for $14 for the two of us.
This site looked like the Garden of Eden when we pulled in late in the afternoon. We had the place entirely to ourselves, which made it even more special. It turned out to be a perfect adventure with a gorgeous view.
