Dave is teaching a class to the children on the difference between a cow, a pig and a cat. We talked about how a cow can digest plant fiber and the other two cannot. Then we explained all the things that a cow needs to make milk: water, grass, maize, mineral and safe rest. Once the kids identifed all those needs they got to "milk a cow." We filled a plastic glove with water, poked a pin hole in the end of each finger (or teat), and told them to fill their bucket. They can hardly wait for the real thing.
